Re: engine heat

Yeah this sounds normal.

Try it with a turbo...!!!

On my old E30 the abs sensor lead melted where it goes through the inner wing!

Re: My nitrous E30 track car

Piers, I might have forgot to mention, I beefed up the tabs for the drop links on the trailing arms, as the standard ones do break with bigger anti-roll bars fitted, but you shouldn't have to worry about that! :)

Re: My nitrous E30 track car

Glad the axle lost the fight in the end mate! :D

These can really stick to the car, even when everything is undone, which method did you use to get it down?

That car is going to look minty mint when it's all together! 8)

Keep the pics coming, we are loving it!

Re: OMG i wanna scream! Help with bleeding needed!

I wouldn't worry just yet. Sounds like some air bubbles came out when it was standing. Which engine is it? You need to bleed it when it's running, although there is a different 'knack' of doing it on most cars, so maybe an E36 expert will be along soon. But you could try lifting the expansion bottle...

Re: My E30 335i Turbo

If it's been done properly then that's cool, but I was also fed up with insuring modified cars so I wanted something that came with a V8.

After three weeks the novelty still hasn't worn off! :)

Re: My E30 335i Turbo

Yeah it reminds me of the TR7/8, and it's very similar in some ways. Genuine TR8s are are very cool but pricey now!

And I wasn't going to buy a TR7 with a V8 bodged into it! :?

Re: My E30 335i Turbo

I had a budget of £4,000, I could have got a complete basket case of a Chimera but couldn't be bothered with the probable hassle I'd have, so got a slightly tatty but sound 'Wedge' as they are known in TVR circles and paid £2,750. :D

Re: No Cooling Water

I hope for your sake it isn't, but it could be a head gasket problem, keep an eye on the temperature gauge and check the colour of the oil and water regularly!

Yeah I remember that, didn't think then that I'd own one though.

I already drink bitter and remember the good ol' days, so I'm half way there! :)

Now where did I leave that chest wig and gold medallion set ......
