I had a budget of £4,000, I could have got a complete basket case of a Chimera but couldn't be bothered with the probable hassle I'd have, so got a slightly tatty but sound 'Wedge' as they are known in TVR circles and paid £2,750. :D

Yeah it reminds me of the TR7/8, and it's very similar in some ways. Genuine TR8s are are very cool but pricey now!

And I wasn't going to buy a TR7 with a V8 bodged into it! :?

To be truthful thats what my mates was, but the conversion had been done to a excellent standard quite some time before my mate got it, on top of which the heads had been polished, it had a full exhaust system including decent manifold's and hollie carbs. absolutely slaughtered his dads genuine TR8

Another car I wished I brought when he sold it :(

If it's been done properly then that's cool, but I was also fed up with insuring modified cars so I wanted something that came with a V8.

After three weeks the novelty still hasn't worn off! :)
